EMERGENCE OF YOUNG TALENT

DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award aims to support and cultivate Hong Kong up- and-coming designers. By sponsoring the awardees to work in overseas renowned design companies or study abroad in prestigious institutes, awardees can gain global perspectives, broaden their horizons and bring with them different ideas and new influences upon their return, thereby contributing to the development of the local design and creative industries.

The 16 awardees from different design disciplines have shown great potential and are the new force to be reckoned with in local design industry. The award-winning fashion designers have a unique and avant-garde style of personal design; the communication designers communicate with people and connect the society with design; the environmental designers promote community construction with a vision of sustainable development; the product and industrial designers have deep insight into human-centred design.
