The ARTIS project revolutionises medical training by creating an immersive augmented reality (AR) environment, enabling doctors to master complex surgical procedures with precision. Addressing the limitations of traditional methods, ARTIS harnesses advanced marker recognition technology to offer intuitive, touch-free AR simulations with real-time feedback. Trainees can safely practise procedures and receive immediate performance reviews, fostering skill development without trial and error. The sleek hardware design complements the intuitive, gamified software interface, enhancing focus and engagement. Currently being piloted in collaboration with medical schools, ARTIS seeks to transform global medical education, bridging the gap between theoretical learning and hands-on surgical practice. -
