DFA Design for Asia Awards 2020 l Bronze Award l Environmental Design | Home & Residential Spaces
Due to accelerated urbanisation all over China, the vernacular quadrangle house is now a rarity especially in the south. To serve as a reminder, the century-old Ancestor House has been restored to its original beauty. The original Hui-style horse-head wall has been preserved and the original timber frame rebuilt with traditional local building materials.
