精品旅館原址位於江蘇一條荒廢的村莊，翻新工程把五座原有建築物及廿幢新建的樓房融合在一起。建築師以現代的建築技術處理傳統的建材，以彰顯周圍磅礡的山景。翻新設計經過在環保(減少/重用/更新)及低能耗建築的精細思量，保留原有長江以南的傳統民居的味道。
