“王雅媛出色地利用了視覺語言去敘事，挑戰了故事和現實之間的界限。”
王雅媛在香港明愛白英奇專業學校畢業後，到了荷蘭的燕豪芬設計學院就讀，在那裡她專修研究、內容創作及策劃，聲音和視頻編輯以及展覽設計。她於2015年創立了個人設計工作室MISSALICEWONG DESIGN，專注於設計研究和內容創作。她曾奪得電影剪接和實驗電影獎，並獲得倫敦設計博物館的Beazley年度設計獎提名。她的電影《Weaving Stories》在瑞士、中國、挪威和荷蘭放映。
在她的視頻《US＆THEM》和 《Marriage Matters》中，王雅媛集中以非正式、跨文化、刻板印象、內容主導的故事講述去討論，並視個人為能夠把研究轉化為多角度故事的設計師。她的紀錄片《Double 11》探討中西方價值觀的共存，而《Reconstructing Reality》則探討信息如何塑造我們的思想。
王雅媛希望提昇和豐富她現時的設計能力，學習新技術並且使自己能更親力親為地創作，亦希望將其技能和知識應用到文化和教育領域。她受到來自德國的藝術家和電影製片人Hito Steryl的創意紀錄片和電腦合成圖像啟發，希望能夠到旗下學習。
