新舊共存
雙城雙年展的展廳外觀簡約，予人輕盈摩登之感，同時體現一種接地氣的設計語言。設計保留原有的牆身、牆磚及其他建材，再混入玻璃、鋼枝等現代建築元素，切合建築本身的風格。設計考慮到當地居民以及建址附近的街道和庭園，平衡建築與其環境的關係。地境設計上，展廳保育原址上的大榕樹，加上中庭的水景，連成一氣，連接起室內與戶外，且達致新舊共存。
