「設計能激發人思考。我希望自己擁有更深的社會意識和更全球化的觀念，著手處理一些棘手問題，甚至提出想法來推動改變。」
郭鎧欣2024年畢業於香港理工大學設計學院，主修傳意設計，專業範疇包括排版設計、平面設計及資訊設計。她相信設計的力量不止於創造視覺享受，還能傳達資訊乃至改變社會，設計能將一件複雜的事情以更簡單的方式向大衆呈現。2022年在《南華早報》暑期實習期間，郭鎧欣參與設計的《Hot Summer Days》便用資訊圖方式講述香港100年來的氣溫變化，警醒讀者全球暖化加劇。
作為一個成長於資訊爆炸時代的年輕設計師，郭鎧欣關注資訊過剩及碎片化的問題，其畢業作《TO SAVE, SAVING, SAVED》便通過三組作品，分別是「TO SAVE」的一個手機歸檔平台、「SAVING」的一本小書及「SAVED」的兩本書，以數據研究分析及資訊圖設計等方式，探討當下年輕人在互聯網上接收資訊的方式和喜好，以及不同資訊對他們所帶來的影響，從而令人們反思自己在不同資訊上的注意力投放。
郭鎧欣從大學二年級開始接觸社區設計的概念，並在《Have a walk with me in Tokwawan》和《How to use a scooter to pick up kindergarten children from school in Kowloon city?》兩個作品中，展現出她對社區設計的熱誠。前者以小誌形式記錄沙中線建成前的土瓜灣社區樣貌，通過她的相片和文字呈現由早到晚不同時段的土瓜灣，令讀者彷如跟隨她的步伐一同漫遊；後者則是在九龍城一家幼稚園外作一次設計原型實驗，為學童及家長提供新鮮的移動體驗，她亦因此發現設計能夠切實改變人的生活體驗。
郭鎧欣去年暑假到西班牙一家工作室實習，當地設計師的工作方式及城市文化均令她大開眼界。她希望將來到英國進修當代藝術相關的課程，開拓自己的思維，裝備自己未來處理更複雜的設計問題。
