突破性保育
「三井花園飯店京都河原町浄教寺」由京都一間1500年歷史的寺廟改建而成。黑白用色代表光影，中庭大堂的大型書法深化黑白主題。項目將整個寺廟的格局完整地重整成酒店的不同空間，保留了歷史建築的元素及文物。並且以當代美學提昇這幢文化遺產的價值。該項目展示了保育和振興鄉土建築的典型解決方案。
