深圳市城中各處都有城市發展前遺留下來的舊建築。位於城中村的「深圳南頭古城有熊酒店」以當地特色的橫街窄巷作為主題，其設計理念是將不起眼和日常的文化遺產融入建築中。建築師規劃一個連接整幢八層的樓梯間，劃出一個垂直的庭園，將天然光帶進室內。水平懸空的屋頂下是一個觀景台，讓住客可一睹市內全景，是一幢富動感與活力的建築。
