TRANQUIL HIDEOUT
Backed by mountains, facing the sea, situated in a prime location in Taipei, architects worked to take advantage of the surrounding landscape. The floorplan takes into account the direction of sunrise to create the best lighting for the indoor space. The ceiling of the living room is painted blue, resonating with the sky and ocean nearby. Straying away from cliché, architects took an alternative approach in designing this luxurious penthouse. Materials such as tapestry, cement and steel are paired with a cool colour palette to bring out a rustic and raw aesthetics.
