Chan Chun Yu (Jerry) graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design in 2025, majoring in Product Design. Originally passionate in automobiles and mobility design that led him to pursuing his studies, he embraced great potential of how products as systems can enhance user experiences.

He believes mobility design of tomorrow is more than styling; but automobiles are integrated product systems and living spaces at the same time. Designers can drive innovation, even in specialied fields, such as engineering in the automotive field.

Across 4 years of his studies, he has been in the PolyU E-Formula Racing Team for 2 years, an engineering-oriented team that design and manufactures a formula student for competition. There he has served as the aerodynamics lead and led the development of the aerodynamics design of HKF-06E, iterating a form solely defined by utilities, as well as a testament of how a designer can introduce design thinking to reform the specialised workflows for successful collaboration and innovation.

Jerry embarks on a journey exploring opportunities in future mobility and how these integrated product systems as mobile living spaces can enhance our living.
