Hung Wai Yin (Louis), a Hong Kong–based architect, researcher, and educator, bridges past and future, local and global, through architecture grounded in community and culture. He creates designs that reconnect people, places, and memories, enriching the urban fabric by weaving new and old.

His award-winning projects, spanning buildings, interiors, installations, and furniture, have been exhibited internationally in Milan, Belgium, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Shenzhen, testing architecture’s potential for dialogue, reflection, and cultural continuity.

As an educator at the University of Hong Kong, Oslo School of Architecture and Design, University of Plymouth, and Hong Kong Design Institute, Hung embeds his design ethos into pedagogy, shaping architects who view design as a cultural practice.
