Chu Wai Kit is a sustainable designer and founder of Gaau1 Up Design Studio, dedicated to transforming waste into innovative designs that inspire meaningful connections with sustainability. Specialising in creative upcycling, he uncovers the hidden potential of materials—particularly plastics—through engaging and educational experiences. By integrating design, education, and community collaboration, he bridges the gap between sustainability and public awareness, fostering a culture of regeneration and responsibility.

In 2019, Chu Wai Kit joined the development of Precious Plastic V4 in the Netherlands, a global open-source initiative focused on plastic recycling, and showcased the project at Dutch Design Week 2019.
