Urban Flock
Perched between reflection and movement, this sculptural installation takes inspiration from sparrows—those resilient dwellers who have traded the wild for the city. Formed from faceted, mirrored planes, the birds capture both motion and stillness, echoing the rhythms of everyday life in East Kowloon. Their metallic surfaces refract the surrounding streetscape, fusing artwork and environment into a living tableau. Positioned along the plaza and the steps, the flock evokes memory and perseverance, transforming a transient public space into a quiet meditation on adaptability—where the ordinary becomes emblematic of the city’s collective pulse and enduring spirit.
