The Modern Arena
Amid Shanghai’s soaring skyline, this performing arts centre reinterprets the classical arena through rhythm and restraint. Layered arches rise through a five-storey atrium, turning circulation into performance. Warm oak envelops the 2,500-seat theatre, uniting acoustic precision with sculptural intimacy to create a museum-like space defined by tactile materiality and archetypal form.
