Desert Resonance
Rooted in the symbolism of the date palm—a timeless icon of resilience—the pavilion rises as a luminous grove of ninety palm columns, each reaching sixteen metres high. Crafted from reclaimed palm rachis and refined through precise Japanese joinery, the structure reinterprets Areesh traditions in a contemporary language of rhythm and light. The columns shape a shaded oasis that guides visitors from tranquil exterior to immersive interior. Inside, palm fibres, fronds, and midribs reappear as structural elements and furnishings, creating continuity between form and meaning. By night, the glass façade glows like a desert lantern—quiet, enduring, and alive.
