Product & Industrial Design | Product & Industrial DesignerAlvin Liu is a independent product designer passionate about enhancing lives through thoughtful, innovative design. A graduate of Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Hong Kong Design Institute in Product Design, Alvin’s approach is rooted in simplicity, aiming to craft products that are both functional and unique. His design philosophy, ‘thinking like water,’ reflects his commitment to flexibility and precision in his design process.
Alvin’s work has earned him numerous awards, including the Gold Award at the 2020 Wenzhou International Design Biennial and the Red Dot 2021 Best-of-the-Best Award. His standout design, Yuen Sek Chinese Tableware, showcases his ability to blend tradition with modern innovation. Refined and mass-produced through the Hong Kong Young Industrialists Council’s Hatch Creativity Scheme, this product is now available at the HKTDC Design Gallery and the HKVTC Shop.
