Fashion & Accessory Design | Graduate of PolyU SFT (Fashion & Textile)Catherine Hui, a recent graduate of Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a BA in Fashion Design, is a designer whose work merges fashion with art. Her BA collection, I am rooted, but I flow, reflects her exploration of culture, identity and time, skilfully balancing fluidity with stability. This collection won her the Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association Scholarship of Creativity 2024 and earned her a spot as a finalist in the 2024 Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ Contest.
Catherine's innovative use of materials, such as mirrored and transparent acrylic combined with intricate embroidery, showcases her craftsmanship and attention to detail. Her previous collections, The Clock (2023) and VIVE LA VIDA (2022), further exemplify her ability to push boundaries and explore new narratives within fashion design.
