DFA Design for Asia Awards 2024 l Bronze Award l Spatial Design l Institutional SpacesLearning Arc
Nestled along the Satogawa River, this school harmonises with its natural surroundings through a graceful, arc-shaped design. Built from local wood, the structure embraces the landscape, inviting nature into the learning environment. Classrooms are thoughtfully arranged to promote independence while fostering community engagement. The open, multi-functional first floor encourages interaction, while the use of natural materials reflects a commitment to sustainability and respect for local traditions, creating a nurturing, nature-infused space for education.
