Rural Essence
A traditional Chinese bed and breakfast is revitalised into a small folk museum, immersing guests in rural life. Modernised with extensive glazing, the design also incorporates wood boards from abandoned buildings, blending sustainability with heritage. By showcasing daily scenes like cooking, tea-drinking and rice threshing, the renovation enriches the guest experience, offering a deeper connection to the villagers’ way of life while preserving the region’s architectural spirit.
