A mural was the key in rejuvenating an old space where natural light was limited and retaining walls dominated the view. By integrating vibrant outdoor art with traditional Japanese craftsmanship, the design expanded the interior’s reach beyond its walls. Four box-shaped forms were created to symbolise art in its various expressions—artists, nature, architecture, and human creativity—inviting light and life into the space. This approach transformed an ordinary residence into a sustainable, art-infused living experience.
