Wood Wisdom
This environmental education facility showcases a sustainable approach to architecture by using ‘thin and short’ byproduct wood from on-site trees. Designed to blend with its lush surroundings, the structure incorporates a reciprocal framework of small, locally sourced timber. The minimalist design emphasises the educational value of sustainable forestry practices, allowing visitors to learn about the forest’s maintenance and wood utilisation. By elevating the value of thinned wood, the project highlights a cost-effective and environmentally conscious building model, promoting local materials and reducing environmental impact from production to construction. -
