Nature Nexus
This student dormitory is an unexpected place to experience the link between urban living and nature. Located in a densely populated Tokyo neighbourhood and designed for scholarship students, it features organic roofs, multilayered wooden structures, and courtyards that encourage interaction with local wildlife through birdbaths and insect hotels. The sustainable design integrates rainwater capture systems and local timber, promoting eco-conscious living. By blending private dormitory rooms with communal spaces, the project creates a nurturing environment that supports students' well-being while fostering a deeper connection with nature amidst the urban landscape. -
