DFA Design for Asia Awards 2023 l Gold Award l Spatial Design l Culture & Public SpaceThe Urban Monument, or the “Glowing Lantern,” as it is called in Chinese, is the new multifunctional addition to the Qujiang Museum of Fine Arts in the central Chinese city of Xi’an. The monument is connected to the main museum building by a passage between the museum exhibits in the main building and entertainment or events held on the monument’s outdoor terrace or in its indoor lounge.
