VISUALISING THE FUTURE
This temporary reception centre for a new residential project wraps around the 99-year-old abandoned Sanheyuan site, forming a courtyard looking onto it. The hallway leads to the white, monolithic show home inside the original courtyard that stands out from the earthy tones of the historic village surrounding it. A corridor with panel windows on both sides divides new from old, a surreal scene commemorating the past and celebrating the future.
