House D is a renovation project for a family of three, where the layout of the four-storey residence is reconfigured in the light of the relationship between the building and its surroundings. There are side windows on the ground floor, and a wall shields the living space from passers-by; the central courtyard allows natural light into building, and landscaping brings the whole place to life. Living areas are linked by flat flooring, which flows between rooms and levels the space so that there are no uneven surfaces or squeaky floorboards.
