DIGITAL INHERITANCE
An innovative way to commemorate the death of a loved one in this age of social media, Anima Code is a personal seal engraved with a QR code with an access key to the deceased’s digital data. The sharply patterned design in high precision is a reference to the Japanese custom of stamping a seal on official documents, and, by scanning the code, the bereaved reach the digital presence of the defunct. Made mainly of acrylic for its high weather resistance and processability, its transparency is an expression of intangible data.
