    THOUGHT-PROVOKING

The two designers look back on their experiences of studying in the West to create a statement piece that both celebrates Korean culture, and challenges a one-dimensional depiction of Asian culture. The posters are printed on Hanji, a smudge-resistant, hard-wearing traditional Korean paper. The illustrations  are hand-drawn, and silk-screen printed, which requires the careful application of one colour at a time, so that each poster is a unique image, highlighting the exquisite craftsmanship of three generations of Hanji makers in Jeonju.
