Centred on typography, the visual identity of the art festival in Shenzhen brings out the diversity and essence of performance art. The key design element is a play on the first letter of the festival name ‘Fringe’. The ‘F’s are in various shapes and styles, and adorned with one or more pairs of eyes, forming abstract illustrations that represent every possible perspective on and interpretation of art. The intentionally garish neon palette successfully conveys the playfulness of the design.
