More than a Thousand Words
Everyone who watched the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games Opening Ceremony was reminded that pictograms were first used extensively in the 1964 Tokyo Games. Now a new set of pictograms has been designed to promote Japan as a premier travel destination. When used in marketing and signage, everyone understands pictograms.
This set is special, universal, and flexible, and shows all the activities visitors enjoy in Japan, from food to culture as well as sport, and attractions. Each pictogram captures an aspect of what Japan has to offer, and together they enchant potential visitors before they even set foot in the country - and encourage anyone already in Japan to spend more time here and explore further.
