DFA Design for Asia Awards 2021 l Bronze Award l Environmental Design | Culture & Public Spaces
This exhibition hall on the river bank between Shenzhen and Dongguan is a revamped electronics factory. The main building to the south is over 2,217 square metres. The perforated steel facade adds transparency to the structure, resonating visually with the glistening river, and the rusty steel and glass reinforce the industrial aesthetic.
