DFA Design for Asia Awards 2021 l Silver Award l Environmental Design | Institutional Spaces
The centre is a hub for artisans to improve construction technology and building’s seismic performance in Southwest rural China. The spatial design integrated the semi-outdoor spaces to provide a comfortable gathering sport for the residents. The building utilizes rammed earth construction, which has a long history in China. The architecture reflects the centre’s mission and showcases an advanced understanding of construction technology.
