DFA Design for Asia Awards 2021 l Silver Award l Communication Design | Publication
The author is a local history enthusiast who visited 25 old shops in Hong Kong to document stories from elder craftsmen about their life journey. To give justice to its cultural significance, the cover design combined two vintage elements, patterned iron gate and floor bricks, in three layers. Staying consistent with the theme, the designer chose a typeface that is typical of moveable type printing.
