DFA Design for Asia Awards 2020 l Silver Award l Environmental Design | Culture & Public Spaces
The designers have integrated new programs, such as co-working and exhibition spaces, into the library layout, making the building a multi-functional complex. On the first floor, a grid system enveloping the co-working space provides a modular display system for students to showcase their work. Tiered seating on the top floor provides a cosy reading area that doubles as an auditorium and screening room. In addition to its physical books, the new library offers a platform for conversations, exchanges of ideas and networking.
