DFA Design for Asia Awards 2019 l Bronze Award l Communication Design ▪ PackagingCRYSTAL CLEAR
The bottle design allows the sake itself to shine through the packaging. The perforated label allows customers to see through the holes and examine the clarity and freshness of the product. Three types of label, in the colour of white, gold and silver respectively, denote the three different strands of sake. The holes in the front form a pattern that resembles the kanji character ‘ten’ while the transparency the label has given to the bottle resonates with the name of the product – tenmei – meaning ‘bright sky’ in Japanese.
