The design draws on the circular form in Chinese culture, which symbolises beauty and reunion. In light of the pandemic, the designers wished to bring joy and consolation to people living in isolation during the Mid-Autumn Festival, a time traditionally spent with families. The concentric shape of the gift box reproduces the well-loved outline of a full moon, and it has a built-in light and audio recorder, so that recorded songs and blessings play as it glows in the dark, creating a remarkable multisensory, interactive experience, and allowing people to interact in a time of isolation, conveying a warm and inviting brand identity. To avoid the environmental impact of excessive packaging, biodegradable and environmentally friendly materials are used.
