DFA Design for Asia Awards 2021 l Silver Award l Environmental Design | Home & Residential Spaces
The single-storey wooden house is designed for a family of five. To maximize natural lighting while still maintaining a certain degree of privacy, the designers minimize the size of window openings that face the road and place large windows towards the courtyard. As the sun changes with the seasons, the south-facing window bounches light off the ceiling in winter, channeling more natural lighting into the indoors.
