After months of research and public discussion, the team redesigned Yi Pei Square as a communal living space, integrating facilities for different activities and for different age groups in one coherent space, like a family living room where parents and grandparents can keep an eye on their children while they play. In the new Yi Pei Square, playground equipment is adjacent to sitting areas, and some versatile leisure equipment allows users of different ages to enjoy it together. The concrete surface now has different colours, lines, and shapes, which stimulate children and the elderly, and are conducive to playing.
