Serpentinata is not just a pen, it’s a designer’s statement on ethical design. Critical of overproduction and unsustainable processes, and using 3D printing, the designer has created a customizable product in the form of Figura Serpentinata, the spiralling human figure which symbolises the spirit of creation – the power of inspiration to turn nothing into something. To the designer, this is a visual representation of intelligence.
