A hotel built on one of Kyoto's largest renovated streets preserves the original buildings, including 26 century-old wooden townhouses, which have become reception and lounge, restaurants, warehouse and 23 guestrooms. Combining the original beams with modern fit-out technology has created fresh new space, and allows visitors a taste of Kyoto’s cultural essence.
