DFA Design for Asia Awards 2020 l Silver Award l Environmental Design | Retail and Showroom Spaces
The theme of this bookshop is “a forest library to enjoy a slow life”, and harmonizes with the surrounding natural landscape. The architects used local bricks for the three main blocks, ‘Mind’, ‘Life’ and ‘Food’, which stand out from the rich greenery, and the interiors complement the view and convey a sense of unity with nature. Raw building materials such as bricks, concrete, steel and wood accentuate the rustic charm of the site.
