Because of the site’s proximity to a park, the residence are constructed to be an extension of its environment and have integrated luxuriant landscape into the interior. An atrium was carved out of the three-storey building, accentuating its high ceiling, which provides enough sunlight and space for trees to grow indoors. The walls are covered with ivy. The design logic of the bedrooms and the bathrooms presents a striking contrast to the open common space, as they are enclosed in solid walls, and retain a sense of privacy. The green facade blocks direct sunlight and moderates the temperature indoors.
