The mercantile culture of the late Qing Dynasty is depicted on the packaging of this historical tea, with line drawings of merchants riding in town and in the country, vendors selling local snacks, and folk artists performing Chinese operas. The three key colours, jade green, porcelain blue and vermillion, were chosen to reflect the Chinese heritage.
