CHINESE ARCHITECTURE REINTERPRETED

Informed by the local Jiangnan culture, architects designed this modern courtyard landscape with Eastern charm in Hangzhou. Applying a minimalist modernist approach, the garden features pure geometric forms, white walls, grey tiles, black sand and vibrant greenery. The conventional Chinese architectural style of deep courtyards and meandering pathways are recontextualised in the modern framework. The masterfully conceived landscape of the three courtyards reminds visitors of the serene tranquillity of West Lake.
