Hard Meets Soft
Conceived for deTour 2023 under the theme “New Know How,” the venue stages a dialogue between solidity and lightness. Galvanised steel frames anchor the space with structural clarity, while layers of diffused illumination flow through its surfaces, dissolving rigidity into motion. Modular layouts allow exhibitions, talks, and workshops to unfold fluidly, adapting to shifting programmes without loss of coherence. Raw metallic textures contrast with the atmospheric glow of light, heightening the sensory experience. Constructed with recycled steel and low-energy lighting, the design unites strength and transience—an architecture where material precision and spatial softness coexist in equilibrium.
