Reflections in the Pines
At the edge of a cedar forest, two modest white houses once sheltered forest rangers; now, they anchor a renewed landscape of leisure and reflection. All existing trees—cedar, pine, and camphor—were carefully preserved, their presence shaping the site’s calm rhythm. Between the houses, a glass-roofed volume connects a pool, garden, and gathering spaces, creating a porous heart for the campsite. The upper façade, clad in brushed stainless steel, captures shifting light and seasons, while the pinewood base grounds the architecture in its natural context. Together, they form a quiet dialogue between material, memory, and the living forest.
