Dislocated Encounters

Reinterpreting the stepped landscapes of Sichuan’s hill towns, this project translates the logic of winding alleyways into a three-dimensional architectural network. Floating boxes, shifting corridors, and nested courtyards form a spatial rhythm of dislocation—where paths intersect, boundaries blur, and strangers meet by chance. The composition embraces asymmetry and changing scale, producing a layered choreography of light, depth, and movement. Echoing the bronze sacred trees and solar sacred Raven of Sanxingdui, the space intertwines myth and material, structure and sensation. It becomes less a building than a living topography—an urban alley reimagined as a terrain for dialogue and discovery.
