Suspended Serenity

Suspended lightly above the forest floor, this villa redefines habitation as a dialogue with nature. Raised delicately on minimal concrete supports, the structure preserves the site’s gentle topography — ensuring the trees, roots, and groundwater left undisturbed[CC1] . The house appears to hover, its slender steel frame extending into cantilevers that dissolve boundary and ground, allowing wind, light, and shadow to pass freely below. Composed of concrete, steel, and timber, each material performs with quiet intelligence: concrete anchors, steel stretches, and wood insulates and breathes. Along the southern façade, an 11-metre expanse of sliding glass opens the living space entirely to the forest, transforming the home into a terrace adrift in green air. Within, light filters through foliage to ripple across plaster walls, their surface textured like sun-dappled leaves. The house does not dominate its setting — it drifts within it, weightless yet profoundly grounded.
