Glide to the Future
With its sleek yellow body and streamlined design, the newly launched light rail transit (LRT) system gracefully glides through Utsunomiya, transforming urban mobility. This cutting-edge system, Japan’s first fully integrated LRT, seamlessly connects various modes of transport and offers low-floor vehicles for easy access, even in areas previously without rail services. Beyond its modern appearance, the LRT addresses pressing urban challenges, such as population decline, aging demographics and environmental sustainability.
