Man completed his Higher Diploma in Fashion and Textile Studies at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2013 and received a BA in Visual Arts from the Hong Kong Baptist University in 2016. He then studied overseas, earning an MA in History of Design and Material Culture from the University of Brighton in 2020, and an MA in Costume Studies from New York University in 2023.
Recently, Man has focused on curatorial work, archival research, and conservation in the realm of costumes and textiles. His co-curated project "Fashion, or the Enchanting Spectacle of the Code" is an exhibition that explores postmodern fashion through Baudrillard's essay of the same name, presenting nine case studies that juxtapose functional garments with contemporary designs inspired by them. These pairings demonstrate how clothing has evolved beyond its practical function, and become a symbol of psychological, sociological, and political ideas.
